Global Game Jam 2015, Trapped

Developed over 2 and a half days for the Global Game Jam 2015, Trapped is an online turn-based game inspired by the party game, Mafia. Players are trapped in a mansion and must work together to escape it by chatting and trading information during the day, and searching for clues and keys during the night. One player is randomly chosen as the betrayer, whose goal is to prevent everyone else from escaping through subterfuge and spreading misinformation.

The theme of the jam was “What do we do now?”

Holiday Game Jam, Chromatone: Holiday Edition

Developed over 7 days for the Holiday Game Jam, Chromatone is an abstract 2D game where players breathe color back into the world using a little red dot.

The theme of the jam was to make a game that celebrated the holiday spirit. Although the event itself spanned 3 weeks, due to pre-existing arrangements I only had about a week’s time of development while traveling to Japan and Singapore. This game could not have been finished without the help of Catherine Grealish, who composed the music for Chromatone.

Developed over 3 days for the Charity Game Jam, Styx Cleanup TURBO is a forward-scrolling 2.5D game. In it, players take control of Charon in keeping the river Styx clean by incinerating trespassers, litter, and repairing filtration devices.

The theme of the jam was to make a game that raised awareness for a charity and / or captured the spirit of giving. Games made for the event were encouraged to include the word “Turbo” at the end of their title. The charity I chose was water.org, an organization that seeks to provide clean, sanitary water around the world, hence my game’s focus on water pollution.
